We asked the hotel staff to direct us to the closest sport bar so we could watch some college football and they suggested Danny's. So we walked on over there to check it out. When we walked in after noon, it was pretty much dead. I cannot think of a sports bar in Nashville that would be empty at noon when college football is playing...it just doesn't happen. But lucky for us, as we scored seats at the bar. We ordered Diet Cokes to help us perk up and some food. TVs were everywhere so that was good. The dining area was separated from the bar by a low wall. Honestly, it seemed more restaurant than bar but I think that's because of all the tables filled with families rather than filled with groups of drunk dudes. I was really looking for the drunk dudes. Ha! I asked if they had the Tennessee game, which is on the SEC network, and they do not subscribe to it. Doh! I know we weren't in an SEC area, but let's be honest....SEC is the best conference in college football and I can't believe a sports bar wouldn't pay for it (as well as any other networks needed to get all the games). But ANYWAY, I didn't care as I could follow the happenings on my twitter. I got a BLT, not the huge one that came with 1 lb of bacon, but the double decker one. It was a standard BLT...pretty good. Everyone devoured their food and then we sat there willing ourselves to start drinking again. The bartender was good natured and chatted with us about our previous night and life in general. We finally started consuming beverages and the fun definitely went on the upswing. We ended up outside on the patio, where there are TVs, tables, and 2 dudes buying us drinks and telling jokes. Hey, can you blame us? We managed to stay there the entire afternoon and most of the evening. By the end of the night this place gets really packed out. Both inside and outside were very busy by about 7 or 8 pm (although a lot of the people were post-Nationwide race people, not sure how it is on a regular weekend). Overall a standard strip mall sports bar with plenty of TVs, decent bar food, plentiful alcohol, and fun people to talk to!

The best I can say is that the food is "meh." Not too good, not bad, just meh. It is a nice spot to gather with friends and the service is good.

Great place for cheap beer. The double Danny is amazing burger that can feed two. Plus can't beat one for $2.75 plus Sunday and Monday they are only $2 for 16oz cans

I am a picky dude when it comes to bar food, I ordered a tenderloin sandwich that comes with all the norm stuff on it, I asked if I could get the sandwich with cheese, a fried egg, onion rings and bbq sauce. The waitress looked at me like I was crazy but then smiled and said I believe we can do that. The sandwich came exactly as described and was extremely tasty. I rate an establishment on service, quality and speed. All the other things help or hurt but are not my main points of a review. I hope this helps anyone thinking about Danny's, especially if you like crazy custom sandwiches Note. I stole the idea for the sandwich from a former establishment named the Gaff, it was called the Irish gut bomb!!!!

Well, there's not much to say. I stopped in for $.50 tacos and I got $.50 tacos. This place really is okay but it's just that, okay. I can't find anything really bad to say but I don't have anything really good to say either. The service was okay, the tacos were okay, everything's just okay. It's very middle of the road.

If I could do a 0 stars .I would. Blonde young bartender. Didn't catch her name. Her service made my experience to the point I will not return here. My last straw was, when I asked for my reciept..she dug it out of the garbage and handed it to me

We came in on Friday evening for dinner. It wasn't overly busy. The waitress was efficient but distracted and somewhat annoying. The food was alright. My honey ordered a grilled cheese and a salad and iced tea. I had a Philly, cole slaw and coke. The sandwiches and salad were good but the cole slaw was too sweet and had a weird slimy texture. The ice tea tastes like instant. It has a good atmosphere. Well lit and not too loud. Lots of TV with sports on.

I used to have lunch quite often at Dannys years back, before all of the Legends area built up the way it is now, because the options for eats was not NEAR what it is now. Mostly I just had lunch options or salads there, but I found myself there for a quick beer before an Elite event on taco Tuesday. The bar staff was friendly enough, not super attentive, but nothing big. The place was PACKED. I ordered a few tacos (hello, .50 tacos!) and that is just what they were... .50 cent tacos. Not bad, just nothing special. Better than Taco Bell I suppose (my own personal opinion) - either way, I would come back, just maybe on a less-packed night. I think sitting at the bar is likely the way to go though. It appeared a lot of tables were waiting, and waiting.

We walked over to this bar to drink, eat a little and then drink, drink, drink. Our server, Jane, was very friendly and helpful with food and drink suggestions. I had a french dip which honestly would have been a lot better if I had remembered to ask them to keep the cheese off of it, my fault. The strawberry margarita was very good and tasted even better with top shelf tequila. After a couple of those I had a grey goose cosmo which was also great. My husband had 7 & 7's all night long and said they were good and strong. He had the chicken fried chicken and said it was very good. It had a big long bar section and then lots of tables and some booths with a platform section, and also a small room of tables. The whole restaurant was filled with big screen tvs that was showing baseball, football, boxing and hunting. It was a nice relaxed night hanging out, drinking and watching the Royals game. (They lost to Boston, ugh, 7-1)

Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday, place was pretty empty. Lots of TV's, good place to watch Sports. Service was good, no complaints there, but I was one of two at the bar so it should be pretty good :). The food on the other hand I would pass on. I loveee hot wings so tried theirs, with two different sauces. Half classic buffalo and half Holy Hot (their hottest sauce). The wings themselves are big (similar to The Peanut wings) but seemed a little undercooked, little too soggy for me. The sauce was the bigger letdown, both I felt had little flavor. Not sure if it was a lack of seasoning or what, but just tasted bland. Overall seems like an ok place to have a drink and watch sports, but not too impressed with the food.

We had dinner with my boyfriend's family here on a Friday night. We had been there once before for drinks, this was our first time eating here. We arrived around 5 and they weren't busy yet. They have your typical bar food. I ordered the chicken belt, grilled chicken with yep you guessed it, bacon, lettuce and tomato. It was a little on the bland side. I think I had more bun than anything else. My boyfriend got the chicken fried steak and he didn't seem too impressed. His daughter, silly kid ordered the party platter, she seemed to enjoy what little bit she was able to eat. His mom ordered the chicken Philly, but didn't seem to like it much. Our waitress was nice and kept up with our drinks. I might give Danny's food another chance, considering it's so close to home.

I have been coming to Danny's ever since it opened, but just recently started checking in. They have fantastic food, and its a great variety too. You can get a cheeseburger or a taco, salads to chicken fried steak. They are great specials every day and great priced drinks. Derive is almost always good and if not it seems like that person doesn't last long. All in all a great place for breakfast lunch or dinner. Note breakfast is only on Saturday and Sunday from 9-1.

My boyfriend and I go here often, he's convinced that Danny's has the best hot wings in KC. I've become a fan of the grilled buffalo chicken sandwich. The service is always pretty good, I can't think of any time they've messed up an order. Lots of tv's to watch all the games. The crowd here is pretty relaxed, and the patrons are friendly. We've never sat in the dining area, only the bar area. Definately on our favorites list.

Still seething. Went early this evening to get a table to see the big game. By game time of course all tables were full, but also there were people standing everywhere. Lots of TVs, but even so, with people standing right next to our table, half our party was unable to watch the game. Waitress admitted freely there were way more people in the place than chairs. Manager said she could only ask the guy who booked the party to ask his guests to sit down. Huh? Managers can't ask people to clear the aisles? We couldn't enjoy the game at all. Left very disappointed. Looked around for a posting of the occupancy load. Know it had to be somewhere, but since the place was so packed, people standing everywhere, there is no way we could have found it. Doesn't matter. We won't be back.

Went to this place on Saturday night after going to the casino. We sat outside and we has Prob the worst service ever, the waitress didn't even say her name just had a huge leg tattoo. We asked for water and an app of wings wing ranch, she kept trying to push beers on us after we already said no. Our water took 10 mins and after we got out water the wings came out with the wrong dress and no plates, which was fixed as our meal came out then. So our app and meal was given to us at the same time. The burger was covered in onions after asking for a plain cheeseburger. Wings lacked flavor, burger cooked perfect medium and tenderloin was good. Worst part is the service and having to deal with a waitress that can only do one thing at once. If you ever get her attention hand her a hand written list of every side or when to feel up your water, might be the only to improve service.

Horrible, the waitresses are extremely rude. I hate to be like that but by paying their bills with there mediocre job I would think I'd get better service. The waitress's think everybody wants them LMAO just because you say hi. They actually remind me of a fourth string hooters girls lets just be realistic. People save the trouble and find a more up to par bar. Maybe the Danny's on College is better because the one in KCK is horrible

This is a bar/restaurant with a heavy emphasis on the bar part. There is a non-smoking room with booths, so you can escape the smoke from the bar. This is a pretty straight forward square room with little emphasis on character or style. I have only had the cajun chicken sandwich here, which is a decent size and good flavor. Actually, I expected a lot less, so it was a nice surprise. I substituted the fries with green beans, which are really spicy and good. Danny's is known for their Tuesday and Thursday 50 cent taco special, never tried it but it is always packed. I imagine this place fills a nitch between going to Wendy's a heafty priced meal at the Legends across the street.

They have a .50 taco night. GREAT tacos and pretty decent service. They get really busy on Tuesdays and Thursday nights, so show up early, especially if you want to get a seat in the non smoking section. I'd recommend going for sure. I've never had a bad night there :)

As a Buffalonian, we have been on the hunt for "Buffalo" wings. I have to say that these wings are pretty good. We ordered 6 wings. When they came to the table, it freaked me out that the wings and drumsticks were NOT separated!!! So we really got what we would consider 12 wings. They needed a lot more sauce and more butter mixed into the sauce. They did serve them with classic blue cheese dipping sauce and celery too. I hate when places give you ranch! We still haven't found our true Buffalo wings in the KC area, but if I'm out shopping and in the mood for wings, I would order them again. The fried pickles were awesome, and the fries were awful. My Reuben was just OK...they put some sort of weird velveeta like cheese on it. The service was the worst we have experienced anywhere. Lots of waiting time, our server forgot our drinks twice and she seemed agitated. Not very friendly.

Some of the rudest bartenders I have ever experienced. I came from Dallas,TX and made a joke about how we do things in Texas and the waitress responded with, "Well go back to Texas". Not good customer service especially when you are a paying customer.

If I could give it less than one star I would. This is a joke. It has the setup and potential to be an amazing sports bar. I'm sitting here right now, been here half an hour. Stale chips, the salsa taste like tomato soup. Beers are $6 on special. Haven't had our order taken. We're leaving and not going to ever return here nor recommend. As I'm writing this we've told the salsa and chips are terrible, asked for a diff appetizer...that was 20 minutes ago. This is the worst place I've ever been to.

What a difference night and day makes...literally. I have recently taken a full time position in The Legends area, and have eaten at Danny's several times in the last month for lunch. The food here is above the mark in my experiences with most Kansas City sports bars. The table service as a dining guest is fast and friendly during lunch, so it is doable for people who punch a clock. I give Danny's 2 thumbs up as a lunch destination.

This place is pretty good if you can get past the weird ketchup. It's not bad, just weird.
